Students in Coach Walls’ 8th grade social studies class have been working on writing and creating a historical children’s book, on a topic of their choice, since October! Students had to research and develop an understanding of their historical event in order to develop a storyline that not only entertained the audience, but also taught a lesson. Many students had to go back to the drawing board many times before they turned in the final product. Take a look at their journey along the way! Way to go Coach Walls and 8th grade! Using the engineering design process doesn’t always look like building a structure!
Students in Mrs. Tori’s 6th grade social studies class used their knowledge of mummification to create canopic jars and will be observing the mummified ‘organs’ (apples) over the course of the week! STEMclusion is at it again!
