In accordance with Tenn. Code Ann. §49-6-5005, school districts shall ensure that schools provide parents/guardians with information about 1) meningococcal disease and influenza disease and 2) effectiveness of vaccination against meningococcal disease and influenza atthe beginning of every school year. This information must include the causes, symptoms, and means by which meningococcal disease and influenza are spread and where parents/guardians may obtain additional information and vaccinations for their children.
