I was born and raised in Trenton. However, I moved to Nashville in 1991 and remained in Davidson County until 2021; when my family and I moved to my hometown to be closer to family.  Trenton Special School District served as employer for both of my parents. My mother Rebecca Andrews was an Instructional Assistant for 44 years and my father Cottrell Andrews was a bus driver for 49 years. My brother Carter also served on the school board.

I have been married to Darrell Young for 16 years.  He is a Surgical Laser Representative for Fortec Medical.  Our son Colten is 12 years old and currently a TRMS 6th grader and future c/o 2030.

I graduated from Peabody High School in 1987, attended Middle Tennessee State University and graduated from Fortis Institute in 2014.

I’ve been a nurse for 32 years with a vast amount of experience. I currently work for Vanderbilt University Medical Center as a Sr Revenue Cycle Nurse Auditor. I am responsible for facilitating audits with payors and constructing formal appeal letters for payor denials.

I am beyond honored for the chance to serve on the school board, look forward to working with the team, and giving back to my community.

I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as a member on the Trenton Special School District School Board. Teachers and students have a very special place in my heart. I am very proud of the outstanding work that our teachers and students do each year and hope that I can be of service to help them in any way possible.

I grew up in Dyer, TN, and knew from an early age that I wanted to be a teacher. I graduated from Gibson County High School in 2008. I then attended the University of Tennessee at Martin and graduated with a B.S. in Education.

I moved to Trenton in 2012 and began my first teaching job at Trenton Rosenwald Middle School. I married my husband, Kaleb Dinwiddie, in 2013, and we own and operate Silver Oak Farms located in Trenton, TN. I taught in TSSD from 2012-2015 until I decided to take a break from teaching to start a family and stay home with my children. Kaleb and I have two children, Maggie (4) and Mack (1).

I grew up in Selmer, TN and graduated from McNairy Central High School in 2001.  I realized during my senior year that attending college right after high school was not the best next step for me.  I attended a lineman training program that was co-taught by Southwest Tennessee Community College and Memphis Light Gas and Water.  I moved to Gibson County in 2003 when I became employed by Gibson Electric Membership Corporation and I have been proud to call this area my home ever since.  I decided to continue my education in 2012 and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree as a part time student at the University of Tennessee at Martin.

I married Kelly (Williford) in 2006.  Kelly is a pharmacist/owner of Duncan’s Pharmacy with stores located in Trenton and Dyer.  She is a 1997 graduate of Peabody High School, so it was important to us that our children, Bennett c/o 2028 and Ansleigh c/o 2031, attend Trenton Special School District.  Our family attends First Presbyterian Church in Trenton where we are actively involved.  I have served as a deacon, elder, and as a volunteer youth leader.  I have also been involved with many youth activities in Trenton including YMCA sports, Cal Ripken Baseball, Babe Ruth Softball, Peabody flag football, and Cub Scouts Pack 47.

I believe as a district our job is to make sure every child is as prepared as possible for the next opportunity, whether their next step is a four-year university, community college, trade school, military, or straight into the workforce holding a certificate.  There are also many extracurricular opportunities through the arts, athletics, clubs and S.T.E.M. for the students of the district to grow into adults.   The citizens in and around Trenton take great pride in their school system and are always there to support it at every level.
